Lemon Sesame Dressing

(from Moosewood Cooks at Home)


3 T sesame seeds (I have substituted a little toasted sesame oil)

1 T soy sauce


3/4 cup vegetable oil (I have reduced this accordingly)

tsp ground black pepper


1/3 cup fresh lemon juice


Several dashes Tabasco or other hot sauce (optional)


Toast sesame seeds if using until just golden. (Put seeds in single layer on dry sheet in toaster over to toast.) Whisk together other ingredients until smooth, then stir in sesame seeds. Tightly covered and refrigerated, this dressing will keep for two weeks.
