4 cups sliced onions

5 TBS butter

2 eggs

1 cup half & half

1 tsp. salt

½ tsp pepper

¾ cup parmesan

½ Tbs. fresh lemon thyme or regular (optional)


Sauté onions in butter.  Place in a glass baking dish 8 X 8.  Beat eggs half & half (can sub whole milk), salt, pepper and thyme together.  Pour egg mix over the onions in the baking dish and sprinkle with grated parmesan.  Bake uncovered 20 to 30 minutes at 425F.
