Garden Chicken on a Bun

1 12-ounce package (4) frozen breaded fully cooked chicken patties

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small kohlrabi, cut into matchstick pieces

2 large ripe tomatoes, chopped

1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 small onion, sliced and separated into      rings

4 kaiser rolls

1 stalk celery, thinly sliced


2 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing

1 tablespoon snipped fresh rosemary

Lettuce leaves


Bake chicken patties according to package directions.


Meanwhile, in a 10-inch skillet cook kohlrabi, mushrooms, onion, celery, rosemary, and teaspoon salt in hot oil over medium heat 10 minutes. Stir in tomato and garlic. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes more.


Toast rolls, if desired. Spread bottom of buns with mayonnaise or salad dressing; place lettuce and chicken patty on each. Spoon sauce over. Add bun top. Makes 4 servings
