Freezer Pickles

2 T. salt

1 c. vinegar

2 qt. thinly sliced cucumbers

1 c. sugar

2 sliced onions

Fresh dill or dill seed to taste (optional)

 

Mix the salt, cucumbers and onions and let stand 2-3 hours; drain and rinse well. Mix remaining ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over drained cucumbers and onions; stir well. Put in small containers and then into freezer. Makes several small containers to take out of the freezer as needed.
