Edamame with Asian Sauce

From a dinner with Kristen in San Francisco

 

 

1 lb edamame soybeans

1 T. rice vinegar

2 T. soy sauce

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 T. sesame oil

1 tsp. brown sugar

1 T. canola oil

2 T. sesame seeds

 

 

Instructions: 

Cook cleaned soybeans in boiling salted water for 5-10 minutes. Drain. Mix remaining ingredients, heating in small saucepan to help dissolve sugar.  Toss with edamame; serve in the pod while hot. Serves 6-8 as an appetizer, 4 as a main dish. Messy but good!
